Dear Friends
Almost the end of March already and all the daffodils are now blooming bringing their sunshine and colour. We have just held our first Fellowship Day in Perth and shared a lovely day, meeting old friends and enjoying shared Christian fellowship.
Our day began with tea and coffee then I shared my report on the development work we had achieved during the last year. SONAS five trustees were all present, which meant everyone had an opportunity to meet them. I explained how the charity is constituted, and the SCH Holiday Club is one of the ‘charitable activities.'
After this report, we all shared an excellent time of feedback and suggestions. Everyone who wanted to contribute had an opportunity, and we received some written suggestions too. This is all very useful as we plan into 2026. I appealed for anyone who would like to be part of the holiday planning group and asked everyone to promote SONAS in their churches and to look out for potential leaders.
After a full morning of business, we enjoyed a lovely lunch and chat. A spiritually enriching time followed with worship, prayer, bible readings, poetry and short preach completed our Fellowship Day service, while Bob Christie played the piano so very beautifully for the hymns. Thank you so much to everyone who took part. Some photos of the event have been uploaded to the gallery on our website.
As I close, just a reminder that there are still places on Bath and Belfast holidays, flying from Inverness and a regular bus service goes from Inverness bus station to the airport.
Blessings to you all,
Elsie Normington
