Geoff and Morven Hulks Sonas Christian Holidays

Geoff & Morven Hulks

Background

Geoff & Morven Hulks moved up from Edinburgh to the Black Isle almost 30 years ago and this is where they raised their three children.

In a former life, Geoff was a doctor and Morven a primary school teacher but they are now retired and delight in being Nana & Papa to their five grandchildren and being active members of Smithton Free Church. Geoff is only an “Honorary Scot”, having been born & raised south of the border but Morven is the real McCoy, being raised in Glasgow.

Come and join us as we visit Bath, one of the great spa towns of Europe and the only city in the UK with a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation for its entirety. Bath is outstandingly beautiful due to its stunning location, its Roman heritage and its Georgian architecture. It is a compact city with lots to see and do. Walk in the footsteps of the Romans and visit the ancient thermal Baths, or walk back in time along the routes of the fashionable Georgians and visit the Assembly Rooms, the striking Royal Crescent or the amazing Pulteney Bridge. A visit to the Jane Austen Centre is a must for those who have been enchanted by this much-loved author. There are many museums and galleries to view or for the more adventurous you can climb the iconic Bath Abbey tower for breathtaking views, or take a kayak city tour on the River Avon! There are also a number of guided walking tours in Bath which are an excellent way of finding out more about Bath’s fascinating history, its beautiful architecture, or discovering its famous filming locations.

There is the possibility for you to visit some of the nearby picturesque and historic villages - including Castle Combe and Lacock – which are accessible by train and bus, or you can sign up for one of the organised day tours from Bath. Or you may want to take a train trip to the vibrant city of Bristol with its lovely landmarks, such as Brunel’s suspension bridge, or meander along the harbour with its array of incredible independent restaurants.

We will be staying in the Hampton by Hilton Bath City which is centrally located with a swimming pool, fitness gym and lifts.
